Peripheral angioplasty catheter, OTW, Lovix, is intended for dilating of de novo or restenotic atherosclerotic lesions in patients with symptomatic peripheral artery disease as well as for the post-delivery expansion of a peripheral stent (postdilatation).

Lovix peripheral angioplasty catheter, OTW, consists of:

  • Y- hub;
  • dual lumen polyamide tube (first lumen for guidewire, second for filling balloon);
  • polyamide balloon.

It has two radiopaque markers to identify cylindrical portion of the balloon, that enables the stent positioning within the treated lesion.

Peripheral angioplasty catheter LOVIX RX consists of:

  • distal part - has a dual lumen. The outer lumen is used to inflate the balloon, and the inner lumen is used for moving the catheter over a guidewire. The distal section of the catheter has a hydrophilic coating. At the end of the catheter there is a semi-compliant balloon with two radiopaque markers allowing placing of the balloon in relation to treated lesion. The balloon is designed to inflate to a defined diameter at recommended pressure.
  • proximal part - consists of a stainless steel hypotube covered with fluoropolymer and a hub with a single female luer-lock connector for inflation and deflation of the balloon.

The balloon is delivered to the intended lesion site and inflated, restoring patency of the vessel.

Intended purpose:
