The Hysterosalpingography catheter is intended for the delivery of contrast medium during hysterosalpingography (HSG) and saline infusion hysterosalpingography (SIS) for the evaluation of the fallopian tube(s) and/or the uterus.
The HSG catheter consists of:
- latex balloon catheter;
- insertion sheath;
- syringe.
The HSG catheter balloon provides secure placement in the uterus or cervical canal and effectively seals to prevent retrograde leakage of normal saline or contrast medium. Catheter has two lumens:
- balloon inflation lumen;
- normal saline/contrast medium infusion lumen.
Intended purpose:
The Hysterosalpingography catheter is intended for the delivery of contrast mediumduring hysterosalpingography (HSG) and saline infusion hysterosonography (SIS) for the evaluation of the fallopian tube(s) and/or the uterus.
