Central Venous Catheter Kit is intended for short-term :
- infusion of fluids or drugs;
- central venous blood pressure measurements;
- blood sampling;
- parenteral nutrition.
The Central Venous Catheter Kit consists of:
- catheter;
- needle;
- guidewire in dispenser;
- dilatator;
- scalpel;
- syringe;
- butterfly with clamp;
- luer lock caps (in a number corresponding to the number of lumens);
- Y hub (optional).
The catheters has a non-communicating polyurethane, radiopaque shaft with printed centimeter insertion depth marks. They are available in single, double triple and quadruple lumen version. Each lumen branches at the hub into a labeled extension tube for infusion of fluids, equipped with a flow clamp and luer lock port and has holes for each lumen near the atraumatic tip. Separate lumens allow to infuse and draw fluids simultaneously.
